City Information

ISME 2017 will be held at TIEC during the most popular season in Japan—autumn. Tokyo is a center for cultural exchange, and taste of the Edo coexists with a modern city. The Tokyo International Exchange Center is located on the waterfront (Odaiba) that is representative of Tokyo, and is a significant site for transportation and logistics. Odaiba was a maritime fortress built in the Edo era, some of which remains even today. In the venue’s vicinity, you can see the science museum that introduces the most advanced science and technology, and Japan’s first Antarctic observation ship “SOYA.” In addition, there are commercial facilities that display the most advanced fashion and culture in Japan. Popular tourist attractions such as “Asakusa” and “Tokyo Sky Tree” are also easily accessible. Other information can be found on the following pages.
